Privacy Policy

TODO, legal review required. This page is a good-faith draft based on how the site actually works at time of launch. It has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer and should be checked for GDPR compliance (Seijaku Studio is based in France) before this site goes live.

Who we are

This website is operated by Seijaku Studio, an interior design studio based on the French Riviera. You can contact us at home@seijaku.studio.

What we collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us, specifically when you:

Submit the contact / enquiry form: name, email address, phone number (optional), current location, project location, service of interest, approximate timeframe, and your message.

Sign up to the newsletter: your email address. (TODO: the newsletter provider was not yet finalised at time of launch, see MISSING-ASSETS.md. This section must be updated once a provider is chosen.)

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this site, and we do not knowingly collect data through any other means.

How we use it

We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry, discuss a potential project, or send the newsletter you've asked to receive. We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

Third-party processors

Contact form submissions are sent via Web3Forms, a third-party form-processing service, directly from your browser to their servers. Please refer to Web3Forms' own privacy policy for how they handle data in transit. Our day-to-day email (including replies to your enquiry) is handled through Google Workspace.

How long we keep it

TODO: confirm a specific retention period with the studio (for example, enquiry data retained for a set number of months after the last contact, unless a project proceeds).

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to object to its processing, and to request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email home@seijaku.studio. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or its integrations change. Material changes will be reflected with an updated date on this page once this site is live.
